? クラノーグ/Crannóg Irish National Heritage Park( External link ) Crannógs were artificial island dwellings built on lakes. The name comes from two Irish words- “crann” (tree) and óg (young), meaning “young tree”. They consisted of a house surrounded by wooden pikes in a circle around the house.
