Post Office Operations

In addition to mail, the post office handles savings, currency exchange, insurance, pensions, and other financial operations. Post offices can be recognized by the red '〒' mark.

Installations & Breakdowns

To have a telephone installed, you can either dial 116 or go to the nearest NTT office and complete the procedures in person.

Dial 113 if you have trouble with your phone (toll-free number).

Call 0077-777 for inquiries.

SoftBank Telecom (0061)
Call 0120-03-0061 for inquiries.

NTT Communications (0033)
Call 0120-506506 for inquiries.

There are various other companies providing international telephone services.

International Direct Dialing

When placing a call, dial the telephone company's long-distance access code, 010 (international call code), the country code, the area code, and the number in that order. If you have registered with services such as Myline, there is no need to dial the telephone company's access code.
