Chiba City has various public facilities such as parks, cultural facilities, museums, art museums, and sports facilities.

There are a total of 35 libraries and annexes in Chiba City. A ‘user card’ is necessary to check out books, CDs, DVDs, etc. You should apply for a user card at the library counter by presenting a form of personal identification that verifies your current residential address, such as your residence card, driver’s license, health insurance card, etc.
The Chiba City Central Library offers a collection of books, newspapers, magazines, children’s picture books, etc. in foreign languages such as English, Chinese, and Korean.
